With sweet barrel aromas of vanilla, toasted bread and just a hint of chocolate in the nose, our Merlot opens with ripe blueberry and plummy flavors over toasted oak. As it warms on the tongue, a black pepper note emerges. Dark fruit like date and fig show themselves in the finish. Medium tannins prolong the finish without being too “grippy” on the tongue. Pair with foods like mushrooms, tomatoes, pork, beef or even Chicken Marsala.
